Meditation Circles
WHAT ARE MEDITATION CIRCLES?
Meditation circles are gatherings where individuals come together to practice meditation in a group setting. These circles can be informal or organized events and are often led by a facilitator or meditation teacher. The purpose of a meditation circle is to create a supportive and peaceful environment where participants can deepen their meditation practice and experience the benefits of meditating with others.
Research shows that a 1/2 hour of meditation provides deeper rest than a night of sleep.
About your Meditation Teacher?
I began mindfulness and mindlessness practices when I was about 7 years old. Bizarre, yes I know! I was overall a "normal" kid, but there are children that DO come into awareness of their spiritual attributes even earlier than 7, so I encourage you to actively introduce mindfulness practices early on. My son is now 7 (2025) and he's more aware of the importance of personal development than I was at his age. At the age of 5 he started asking me existential questions! Imagine having a 5-year old asking you if humans are truly real, first thing in the morning and you haven't had your coffee yet!
Anyway, over time my personal meditation practice became more structured and adapted according to my spiritual dogma.
Ultimately, in 2018 I graduated from the Meditation Teacher's Training College and have been facilitating group meditations both online and in-person ever since. It's something I LOVE doing and hope to continue doing.
Calming the mind in an especially complex daily life is not easy; which is why I understand people's aversion to meditation. I've been there! Sometimes I'll go through a recluse period where I'll pause on a particular practice, I'm human! And I'll teach you how to honor where you're at in your human experience and how to manage stepping out of your comfort zone.

Tell me about meditation styles!
There are several types of group meditations, each with its own unique focus and techniques. Here are some common types:
Guided Meditation: A facilitator leads the group through a meditation, providing instructions and prompts to help participants focus and relax.
Silent Meditation: Participants meditate quietly together for a set period of time, fostering a sense of collective stillness and inner peace.
Chanting and Mantra Meditation: The group chants or recites mantras together, using sound and repetition to deepen their meditation practice.
Walking Meditation: Participants engage in mindful walking, paying attention to each step and the sensations in their body.
Sound Meditation: The group uses sound, such as singing bowls, gongs, or drumming, to facilitate a meditative state.
Visualization Meditation: Participants use guided imagery to visualize peaceful scenes, healing energy, or specific goals.
Breathwork Meditation: The group focuses on specific breathing techniques to enhance relaxation and mental clarity.
Each type of group meditation offers unique benefits and can be tailored to the needs and preferences of the participants. Have you tried any of these types of group meditations?

After 5 years of structured meditation, you are likely 12 years younger biologically than someone the same age.
